Mod Peacock Pillows

129twigandvine_peacock_pillow2

Inspired as I am by Danish modern art and design, I tried my hand at it last spring and made several peacock illustrations for Wild Apple. The art was picked up by several home furnishing companies, among them Manual Weavers and Woodworkers. These production samples arrived at the office this week and I’m tickled by my quirky birds, all puffed up and cheery.

These are indoor outdoor pillows, and will appear in their spring offerings to their clients. Fingers crossed that they’ll end up in retail down the line.

Ah shucks. Kate I’d love to have tea. I’m in Woodstock through this evening for work so later this week may work. I haven’t forgotten…just down with an ear infection this weekend :-((( and now on the work marathon.

We had a mysterious pea hen at our place two years ago. Other than the four a.m. honking I loved having her around. Thanks for sharing.

Great work, Sue, love the peacock illustrations. I am sure that you were also inspired by the appearance of a peacock in your garden last year ;o) Happy Sunday !!!

WOW. I love these pillows. I have a peacock feather tattoo, so any peacock related items are my favorite!

Great job.

Thanks. I’m too wimpy to get a tattoo, but I imagine a peacock feather to be gorgeous in that way! Happy second day of spring.

Gorgeous design! And I especially love they are for outdoor pillows, I am always a fan of outdoor design being just as classy as indoor. Seems like porches and yards get forgotten sometimes, but I would prefer to spend most of my time out there in the warm weather!

Lovely work as usual my dear! How exciting to see your work chosen. Who do we lobby to get these in our hands and on our decks?

[…] I am loath to wipe my feet on this beauty after a spell in the garden or the chicken yard, but it’s supposed to be washable. {So maybe a few wipes of the feet won’t do much harm.} Back in the spring I posted the pillows that sport the same design. […]
